Steel Institute CEO to retire

Gibson Thomas Gibson will step down this fall from the $23M-revenue American Iron and Steel Institute, where he has been CEO since 2008. "Tom effectively spearheaded AISI's advocacy efforts on critical policy issues through challenging times, starting with the financial crisis of 2008 and through the era of repeated import surges fueled by the global overcapacity crisis," AISI Chairman Roger Newport said in a statement.
